Frequently Asked Questions
How do I rent a Costume?
Please see the page dedicated to this question. Link below or in header list under Rental Process.
How much do rentals cost?
Our costumes are handmade and unique, each one having numerous variables which will change the cost. The breakdown of most prices can be be found at the below link, or in the header list under Rentals.
Do I have to wash the costume?
No, we will wash all rentals upon their return. We are proud of the fact that our costumes are hardy enough to withstand normal washing methods. If you are worried that you have stained the costume, please alert us so that we can spot treat the effected area.
If you are wearing the costume for a more than one night, for a play for example, we will give you care instructions.
We do ask that you avoid Henna, Grease Paint, and Artificial Tanning Products while wearing our costumes, or inform us if you are planning on having some applied so we may offer you a costume that the herbs and oils will not damage.
Can I reserve a costume?
Yes, with very few exceptions, you may reserve a specific costume for a certain day, weekend or event. Terms and conditions will vary depending on the costume, how long the reservation will last, and the type of event.
We require an in-person fitting, and prepayment for any reserved costumes- this includes costumes intended to be worn on the festival grounds or elsewhere.
What happens to my clothing and possessions while I'm renting?
All customers are given a basket to store their clothing and anything else that they do not wish to carry. These baskets are much like gym or swimming pool lockers- each is assigned a number which will be recorded on the rental receipt. What you place in the basket is completely up to you- they are stored in a secure area of our booth, and you may request access to them at any time. We will also store any purchases you make throughout the grounds so you only have one stop at the end of your day.
We do not store excessively large items such as; suitcases, strollers, carts, children, or animals. We reserve the right to refuse storage of any item(s) at our disgression.
Do we rent shoes?
As of now, we do not rent footwear. We recommend that you wear sandals or boots (ballet slippers work as well).
Overall, anything but bright white Nikes or florescent Crocs.

I want to just say that offering costume rental at the festival is one of the neatest ways to get involved in the land of fantasy! It not only has a talented seemstress but has a way of adding to the spirit of the faire! Teri's [Terry's] work is fabulous.

Every time I go to the ten fest, my first stop is the Cock n Dragon. You guys never disappoint and we have a blast everytime we come in. The whole experience from outfit selection to when we return is half the fun or our day. We love everyone we have worked with and our outfits always look amazing. The ten [ren] fest would not be the same without our fanciful attire! Can’t wait to visit again next weekend!!!
